WHO WE ARE
Khud Mukhtar SAWI is a not-for-profit and non-partisan organization that focuses on Education and Healthcare clusters through various activities in the deprived and disaster-stricken communities with special emphasis on “Women and Children” in the underprivileged areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Pothohar. Khud Mukhtar SAWI believes that by fostering education, opening up socio-economic avenues, and advocating a communal vision for sustained development through its outreach endeavors, it would yield highly desirable results and enhance the livelihood of its target beneficiaries. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI also extends assistance to the communities affected by natural and man-made disasters through quick response activities which include the provision of relief goods and looking after the educational needs of the orphaned children.

EDUCATION & SKILL BUILDING FOR WOMEN
SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTRES
Sunflower Academy, one of the pilot projects of Khud Mukhtar SAWI, is based in Islamabad. The academy offers special education services to children with cognitive and physical disabilities. Children with special needs are parented in a segregated environment by trained teachers. Sunflower Academy has helped thousands of special children to become useful citizens of Pakistan.
WOMEN SKILL DEVELOPMENT
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI strongly advocates the empowerment of women and works for its realization through meticulously planned initiatives of establishing Women Skill Development Centers. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI provides the consultancy and counseling services to the trainers to form the mainstay of the Women Empowerment Initiatives, Women are also encouraged to set up ‘small business units’ in order to supplement the household income.
HEALTH & DISASTER MANAGEMENT
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI BASIC HEALTH UNITS
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI is focusing on the provision of medical facilities through its Mobile Health Units. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI regularly sets up medical camps in far-flung rural areas of KP, Balochistan, Pothohar, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan, so that people could benefit healthcare facilities at their door steps. Many of these temporary health camps are also set in disaster-stricken areas, where immediate medical assistance is required.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE UNIT (ERU)
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI ERU maintains a strong liaison with different public and private sector organizations for timely response during crises times. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI ERU fundamentally works through an intricate web of reporting teams strategically scattered throughout the operational domain of KHUD UKHTAR SAWI.
WHAT WE WANT TO DO
EDUCATION
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI has planned to establish a network of schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for imparting primary education. In the long run, KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI intends to construct schools to provide quality education to all the deprived children residing in our targeted areas. Informal educational institutes will also be established with the coordination of local communities and prominent citizens of the area where part-time teachers shall be provided by KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI. Scholarship programs for deserving students who have achieved outstanding performance would also be a part of this initiative. We have designed a distant learning program for the people of remote areas of Pakistan where highly qualified teachers sitting in any developed city like Islamabad can interact and educate their pupil, sitting in their Remote School which is a custom-made Container for education.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI has chalked out a major plan to empower the needy and deprived women of KPK by expanding its initiative of imparting vocational skills that will help our women to get back on their feet and contribute to the economic cycle. The training will be in the field of embroidery, jewelry, tailoring, and candle making. After the successful implementation of the training program, a single online e-commerce portal will be set up for the pass-outs. This online portal will have the items produced by the pass-outs and will add any additional items produced in the future. The online portal will give a broader market to the women of the region and will help in generating more disposable income. This portal will also be promoted via Khyber Television Network which will help in attaining the required customer base.
HEALTH
KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI plans to establish hospitals equipped to deal with emergencies and provide mother and childcare services. The facilities provided are going to be Free Medical checkups, Ultrasounds, Awareness sessions and the Provision of nutrition supplements. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI has also planned to establish Remote Patient Care Units which are known as RPCU in different remote areas with basic health facilities. The Patient care unit will have a basic information desk cabin and a main Emergency Observation Section, where the para-medics observe the patient under the guidance of a senior doctor, based in the Main City Hospital connected via video-link.

KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI enjoys a strong liaison with Khyber Network which comprises of TV Channels (Khyber News, AVT Khyber, Khyber Middle East, Kay2) and daily newspapers (Akhbar-e-Khyber, Peshawar and K2 Times Abbotabad). Capitalizing on its bonding with Khyber Network, KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI, apart from its own team, has the advantage of maximum outreach ranging from metropolitan cities to far flung rural areas of KP, Balochistan, Pothohar, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan by mobilizing the teams of Khyber Network. KHUD MUKHTAR SAWI works by assessing feeds from the correspondents of Khyber Network and intervening to fulfill needs and uplifting the plight of our neglected/impoverished populace.
