Bringing Joy on Eid: Supporting Vulnerable Families with Gifts & Food

Introduction

Eid is a time of joy, celebration, and generosity. However, for many underprivileged families, orphans, and displaced individuals in Pakistan, celebrating Eid remains a challenge due to financial hardships. Khud Mukhtar SAWI, a dedicated nonprofit organization, has been working tirelessly to ensure that those in need can also experience the happiness of Eid. Through various Eid-focused initiatives, they distribute gifts, clothing, and food, bringing smiles to countless faces.

Your support can help expand these efforts and ensure that no one is left behind during this festive season. Let’s take a closer look at the impact of these programs.

Eid Gifts Distribution Among IDPs

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) often face extreme difficulties due to conflicts and displacement. To bring them some relief, Khud Mukhtar SAWI conducted an Eid gifts distribution drive in Bannu during Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.

  • Items Distributed:
    • 400 dresses for children
    • 1,000 pairs of shoes for men, women, and kids
    • Shawls, bangles, mehndi, and sweets
  • Target Beneficiaries: Poor and displaced families from North Waziristan

This initiative ensured that children and families could celebrate Eid with dignity and happiness. With your contributions, we can reach even more IDPs in future Eid celebrations.

Eid Gift Distribution at Sweet Home Islamabad

For orphaned children, Eid can be a particularly lonely time. To bring joy to these young hearts, Khud Mukhtar SAWIorganized a special Eid celebration at Sweet Home Islamabad.

  • Items Distributed:
    • 40 bedsheets
    • 60 wristwatches
    • 1,100 candies
    • Sports equipment (bat, balls, tennis, badminton)
  • Beneficiaries: 60 orphaned children registered at Sweet Home Islamabad

These gifts not only provided material support but also made the children feel loved and valued during Eid. Your donations can help bring more joy to orphaned children across Pakistan.

Qurbani – Meat Distribution for Deserving Families

Eid-ul-Adha is a time for sacrifice and sharing. Many underprivileged families cannot afford to buy meat, making it a rare luxury for them. To address this, Khud Mukhtar SAWI carried out a Qurbani meat distribution program across multiple locations.

  • Locations Covered:
    • Bannu (IDPs North Waziristan) – 2 sacrificial animals
    • Jalozai Camps (IDPs South Waziristan) – 3 sacrificial animals
    • Islamabad I-9 Office – 1 sacrificial animal
    • Peshawar Office – 2 sacrificial animals
  • Objective: Provide fresh meat to displaced and underprivileged families so they can enjoy a nutritious Eid meal.

Through this initiative, hundreds of families were able to enjoy a fulfilling Eid meal. With more contributions, we can extend this program to reach even more communities.

Why Your Donations Matter

Eid should be a time of joy for everyone, but many families in Pakistan struggle to afford even the basics. Your donations help in:

  • Providing clothes and gifts to children who have lost their families.
  • Ensuring food security by distributing meat and essential Eid items.
  • Restoring hope and dignity to those in need.

Your generosity can turn their sorrow into smiles. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact.
