Women bear the brunt of climate change due to multiple socio-economic and cultural factors. Climate induced disasters such as floods, droughts, and cyclones increase, their daily struggles become even more laborious. As in rural areas many women are primarily responsible for securing water, food, and fuel. Water sources dry up, agricultural yields decline, and food insecurity rises, all of which place additional burdens on women.

Moreover, climate change aggravates existing vulnerabilities. It increases risks of gender-based violence, early marriages, and human trafficking. During disasters, displacement camps lack proper safety measures, exposing women and girls to violence and exploitation. With limited access to education and economic opportunities, they are the last to recover from climate-induced crises.

Khud Mukhtar SAWI has been at the forefront of efforts to uplift these vulnerable communities. It is ensuring that women including girls, and children are not left behind in the fight against climate change.  Khud Mukhtar SAWI has recongnised the urgent need to support women, girls, and children

It is difficult to ensure the well-being in crisis situation. But, Khud Mukhtar SAWI   recognised the urgent need to support women, girls, and children affected by climate change. Therefore, Khud Mukhtar SAWI   has taken a proactive approach and provided families with essential daily use items such as food, clean water, hygiene kits, and other necessities for women, girls, and children. These activities were occurred in flood affected areas in Khyber PakhtunKhwah (KPK) such as Swat, Chitral, Bannu, Malakand, Kohat, Hangu and Haripur. And in this humanitarian aid drive special assistance were given to women, young girls and children.

Climate change impact on women cannot be ignored. KMSAWI played a crucial role in uplifting vulnerable people. Climate change is causing more frequent floods in Pakistan. Organizations like Khud Mukhtar SAWI play a crucial role in helping people during these tough times. Its work proves that timely support can make a big difference.
